Do you want to be a Saint?
Families of Nazareth Movement is an accessible, Marian, spiritual movement, led by the Holy Spirit, that fosters an individual relationship with Jesus through faith sharing, spiritual direction and formation.
About the movement
The Families of Nazareth Movement began in the early 1980s in Poland, inspired by the spiritual search of Fr. Tadeusz Dajczer and quickly spread throughout Europe and the world. By the late 1980s, the Movement had reached North and South America, including the United States, where it found a natural home within local parishes and diocesan communities.
In the U.S., the Movement grew as small faith-sharing groups formed around parish life, rooted in prayer, spiritual reading, and Eucharistic devotion. These communities reflect the heart of our spirituality—entrusting ourselves to Mary and striving for deeper communion with Christ in everyday life. Members include families, single people, clergy, and religious, united by a shared desire for holiness and evangelization.
The structure of the Movement in the United States mirrors its global identity:
Local Communities meet weekly in parishes to pray, reflect on Scripture and Movement texts, and share faith experiences.
Regional Animators and Coordinators support these groups, helping provide formation, resources, and opportunities for retreats and general gatherings.
National Leadership works with clergy advisors and regional leaders to preserve the Movement’s charism, organize national retreats, and ensure alignment with the Church’s mission in the U.S.
Through this parish-based and diocesan-integrated model, the Families of Nazareth Movement in the United States continues to serve as a spiritual home for those seeking to live the Gospel in the spirit of Nazareth, and to be missionary disciples within their families, parishes, and communities.
